Andrew Seymour

Andrew Seymour has been studying the clarinet since the age of ten. In 2001 he completed his Bachelor of Music Performance degree at the Victorian College of the Arts.  While at the VCA, he performed with the VCA Symphony Orchestra, Melbourne Youth Orchestra and the Geminiani Chamber Orchestra. 

In 2003, Andrew traveled to Perth with the Australian Youth Orchestra and in 2005 participated in the AYO Orchestral Development Program run in conjunction with the Tasmanian Symphony. Recent travel and study has enabled him to undertake further study with James Campbell, Gregory Smith, Julie DeRoche, Henri Bok and Elsa Ludwig-Verdehr.

Andrew has performed professionally in the orchestra for Phantom of the Opera during its recent Melbourne season, and he is regularly engaged as a casual player with the Tasmanian and Adelaide Symphony Orchestras, Royal Melbourne Philharmonic Orchestra and Lyric Opera of Melbourne
