Clarion 214 Artist Teaching have extensive experience working with the following ensemble types: concert bands, symphony orchestras, string orchestras, big bands, and massed ensemble with choirs. We possess particular expertise; accompanying soloists; coordinating and delivering large-scale musical events, including multimedia performances; and collaborating with artists from other disciplines including dancers and actors. -

Clarion214 Clarinet Quartet is an innovative Australian contemporary clarinet quartet, committed to developing and showcasing new Australian repertoire as well as captivating audiences with engaging music experiences.
Currently featuring some of the most versatile and experienced clarinettists in Australia, Clarion214 Clarinet Quartet is focused on reaching new audiences. It is equally at home performing on the concert stage, at stylish inner-city bars, in historic houses and art galleries. Whether performing modern works, or more traditional chamber music, Clarion214's engaging and exciting programs will suit any venue or occasion.

With a focus on music of our time, keen to support emerging and established composers, Clarion214 Clarinet Quartet are very happy to receive scores for review and possible performance. Please send scores via email as PDF files. In order for us to consider performing your works, it is essential that you provide us with a clear legible score and four clear legible separate parts. Unfortunately works that do not meet this will not criteria will not be considered for performance.
Contact us via email if you wish to submit printed score and parts. If we decide that we are unable to perform your score at the current time and you if you wish to have your scores returned, please also include a stamped self-addressed envelope large enough to hold the score.
Useful Facts For Composers
Clarion214 Clarinet Quartet comprises four clarinets. Composers can write for either: 4 x Bb/A clarinets, 3 x Bb /A clarinets and bass clarinet or Eb clarinet, 2 x Bb/A clarinets and bass. We are also happy to receive works that employ basset horn instead of one Bb clarinet .
Both the bass clarinet (written in treble clef) and basset horn extend down to written C an octave below Middle C. Both the basset horn and bass clarinets' upper ranges extend more than three octaves above written middle C.
